Here's just a small sampling of the sights we'll see on the courses.

Cabot Cliffs

Officially opening this year, we will be one of the first groups to play what is already being billed as Canada's best golf course.  We had a preview round in 2015, but this year it has matured to be officially open for business.  Here is a photo of number 16, which some of us got to tour while under construction in 2014.

The Lakes Golf Club

This course is 5 minutes from our cottage, adjacent to The Birches Inn.  Very fun to play ...especially team match play formats.  Shown here is the fifth hole, a great golf hole and the toughest on the course.

Number fourteen ...Infinity green.  It's a short shot, but gets in your head.  Surprisingly, many a match may turn here.

Highland Links

A classic Stanley Thompson design that is naturally beautiful.  A five hour adventure with cart takes you along the ocean, back along into a majestic valley surrounded by breathtaking mountains, where you turn back to meander along a river out the valley back to the finish be the ocean.  It has been rated for decades as one of Canada's best public golf courses.

We snuck in a round here in 2017.  Unfortunately, it's remote location makes it too difficult to fit into our format when mobilizing 28 guys over four days.  But if you decide to extend your stay, or make another trip to Cape Breton, spending some time in Ingonish and playing this course is a must.
